What you need to go horse riding
Our priority is for you to enjoy learning with us during riding lessons, learning values such as dedication, discipline and respect for horses from a professional point of view. All this without neglecting factors such as rider safety.
If you are thinking of signing up for our riding lessons, please note that the following are mandatory:
- Insurance from the Equestrian Federation.
This is an essential requirement as the rider must have full coverage in the event of an accident. This insurance can be renewed annually or quarterly. - Wearing a helmet.
- Wearing shoes with some heel.
Riding boots are recommended. - Wearing riding breeches.
Riding breeches are designed with silicone and other materials that make it easier to grip the saddle and provide greater comfort for the rider during horse riding.
Although not essential, our school also recommends wearing a protective riding vest.
Geotextile track
A geotextile riding arena is a type of riding surface that incorporates geotextile, a synthetic fibre material, into the sand layer. This material improves the performance and durability of the arena, providing greater stability, shock absorption and drainage.
What is geotextile in an equestrian track?
Geotextile is a non-woven or woven fabric used as an intermediate layer in the construction of equestrian tracks. Its main functions are:
- Improving stability
Geotextile acts as a root structure, similar to grass, providing greater cohesion to the sand and preventing it from shifting. - Increasing shock absorption
It helps absorb the impact of horses' hooves, reducing joint fatigue and improving comfort for both rider and horse. - Facilitate drainage
The geotextile helps to drain rainwater, preventing puddles and keeping the track in optimal condition. - Reduce dust
By improving moisture retention, dust formation is reduced, especially in dry conditions. - Better training quality
The consistent, shock-absorbing surface allows for safer and more effective training. - Versatile use
Suitable for different equestrian disciplines, such as dressage, show jumping and trail riding.
